The 10th edition of the Singapore Airshow took place from 3 to 8 February at the Changi Exhibition Area – 9 Aviation Park Road. The event is held every two years and is divided into two distinct parts: the first (3–6 February) is for industry professionals, while the second (7–8 February) is the classic Airshow open to the public.
The Space Summit 2026 was also held during the first two days of the Singapore Airshow. This initiative was promoted by the Minister of Labour and Head of Energy and Science & Technology of the City-State, which will soon launch the National Space Agency Singapore (NSAS). Leading Italian companies active in the space sector will also participate in the project, including Leonardo, Thales Alenia Space, CY4GATE, ELT Group, MIPRONS and D-Orbit. A representative from the Italian Embassy in Singapore was also present at the Summit.
The commercial section saw the participation of over 1,000 operators from the aerospace and defence sector, coming from over 50 countries. In addition to the usual commercial negotiations, an Aeroforum was organised where operators interacted with industry experts to examine current and future industrial aspects.
The Airshow featured a large static display showcasing several aircraft and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles belonging to the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Some foreign armed forces were represented by two F 35As, one from the USAF and one from the Royal Australian Air Force, a P 8A from the United States Navy, an A400M from the Luftwaffe (German Air Force), a C 17A and a KC 135R from the USAF, and a KC 390 from the Força Aérea Brasileira (Brasilian Air Force). Commercial aviation was represented by a multitude of aircraft, around 150, covering virtually the entire range of passenger and cargo transport, regional transport aircraft and business jets.
F-16 and Apache flight simulators and several land vehicles, all supplied to the Singapore Armed Forces, were installed for the public to try out.
The flying displays focused on aerobatic teams from Indonesia (Jupiter), India (Sarang) and China (Bayi), while the local Armed Force flew an F-16 and an AH-64, simulating joint ground support operations. The Malaysian Air Force's Su 30MKM put on another spectacular display, with extreme manoeuvres and the launch of flares to deceive the optical sensors of missiles. The Australian F 35 was equally impressive, even without launching flares. In the field of civil aviation, the A350-1000 and Comac C919 made flyovers.
The next Singapore Airshow is scheduled for 15-20 February 2028.
